OpenSIMS ties together the open source tools used for security event management into a common infrastructure. These tools include NMap, Snort, and many others. The best way to experience openSIMS is by downloading the openSIMS liveCD. OpenSIMS provides a way for tying together the open source tools used for security management into a common infrastructure. It leads toward the development of new SIMS technologies that allow different networks using risk metrics to collaborate on attacker profiling and remediation.
The openSIMS 0.9 source code is now available and has been published to SourceForge here: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115820&package_id=192161 Make sure that you grab all three of the files: - opensims_20060415000000.tar.gz You will need all three. If you have trouble getting the src working, try checking out the openSIMS 0.9 LiveCD where all of the work has already been done for you. |
